Detailed Planning represents an important project phase after dimensioning and nominal planning activities.
Designing efficient wireless access and backhaul networks will facilitate network element commissioning and integration. Detailed Planning is the process where the site location alternatives are nominated according to the RF suitability for each search area that the planned site will be located in.
The RF Site Survey is done for those alternatives and a report called Search Area Report (SAR) is prepared to be used for RF Site Approval. As a result of this activity, the candidate site locations are identified and prioritized according to RF requirements of Nominal Plan.
Engineers involved in Radio Frequency Planning perform a survey of the coverage areas to verify antenna locations for radio propagation and safety aspects. Collected information together with a technology recommendation will be used to create system design drawings, bill of materials, equipment locations, cable position and frequency plan.
